Blueberry Blast Smoothie

Blueberries – these small, round, deep blue/violet colored morsels have been shown to improve your overall wellbeing, as follows;

1. Loaded with antioxidants, which help improve cognitive function, eye, brain and nervous system health
2. Insulin resistant, because they are low in sugar and have a low glycemic index
3. Fat burning food, as they reduce blood fat levels
4. Digestive distress is improved due to the fiber content

Blueberry Blast Smoothie
Preparation time: 5 minutes     Serves: 1-2

1 frozen banana
1 cup fresh organic blueberries 
1/2 heaped handful of organic spinach
1/2 heaped handful of organic red kale
1 teaspoon organic spirulina
1 teaspoon flaxseed meal

½-1 cup or almond milk
a dash of cinnamon
Stevia for additional sweetness

1. Simply combine all ingredients in high speed blender until thick and creamy. Enjoy!
